Godzilla!

It's not often that I fangirl squeee over a cake request.
But I did on this one!

It's Godzilla! Only one of the greatest movie monsters of All Time!

The mom said when her son made the request she immediately thought of me and thought I was the only cake creator she knew who could possibly pull it off.

Challenge accepted.

Oh, and he asked for fire.

Godzilla is sculpted out of cereal treats, covered in gumpaste, then painted.

"Tokyo" is 6 inches of chocolate cake, filled and covered with vanilla buttercream.
All buildings and accents are modeling chocolate.

The tail was so long, I had to build a custom box!

What an incredible way to celebrate turning 5!

Sweet 16...book geek style!

I had been looking forward to creating this delightful cake for at least two years!
The birthday girl loves to read..."Harry Potter" and "Alice in Wonderland" are a couple of her favorite books.  The mom wanted something that pulled in all of her favorite things...including her love of Nutella.

Two tiers of chocolate cake filled with the most decadent Nutella mousse, and covered in vanilla buttercream.

A few of her favorite things created out of modeling chocolate
...including her pet pig, Alice...

The golden snitch...

The birthday girl was delighted!

Frozen!

A special request (inside and out) from my very own daughter!

A "Frozen" inspired 7th birthday cake...

Chocolate cake (gluten free because Mama wanted cake too!),
filled with salted caramel and more chocolate.
Frosted with vanilla buttercream.

Sugar "North Mountains" and chocolate snowflakes.

Happy 7th birthday, baby girl!!

Sweet 16!

A very elegant, yet dramatic, black and gold cake for a sweet 16!

8 layers of white vanilla cake and brown sugar Swiss buttercream frosting and filling.

The mom had a glittery gold "16" for the top...

Shimmery golden flowers added to the drama.
